Lactation Lounges

As part of Weill Cornell Medicine's continued efforts to meet the needs of our staff, Lactation Lounges are available at several locations. These lounges offer a user-friendly, private and comfortable space for those staff members who wish to pump their breast milk during break times.  

Active Lactation Lounge Rooms

Weill Cornell Medicine

Olin Hall

The Quiet Room is located in Room 319 and can be accessed, if available, by showing your employee ID badge to the lobby attendant. It is equipped with a small refrigerator and has an adjoining bathroom.

575 Lexington

Wellness Rooms are available on the 6th, 9th and 10th floors. Employees who wish to use a Wellness Room must complete a Registration Form (all information you provide will remain confidential). Once your request is processed, you will receive a message confirming your registration with instructions on how to reserve a room.

Starr 5

A Lactation Lounge is available 24/7 in room 554. This lounge includes four stations separated by privacy curtains. To request access to this area or to receive additional information, please contact lactationroom@nyp.org.

Westchester Campus

A Lactation Room is available in Room 428A, 6A South. Please visit the security desk to obtain the key.

Weill Cornell ACN Network

Private lactation spaces available upon request.  Employees can contact their Managers to access these spaces.

New York Presbypterian Hospital Lactation Rooms

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital provides lactation rooms for employees of the hospital, supporting women as they balance their needs as mothers of young children and their return to the workforce. Each room offers a clean, private and secure space for women to express their milk during their scheduled shift. Please reach out to Workforce Health and Safety Program Manager, Laura White at law9042@nyp.org with questions or concerns.

The Allen Hospital

A Lactation Room is available in Room 3-010, A single use room that provides seating and an outlet to plug in your own pump.  Employee can reach out to HR (212.932.4227) to request ID card access.

Columbia University Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital

A Lactation Room is available at the Neurological Institute, Fifth Floor, Room 526 and Mamava®, a modular suite offering a private, clean and comfortable place to pump or nurse on the 2nd floor bridge between Herbert Irving Pavilion and Milstein. Both rooms contain seating, sink, refrigerator, and outlets to plug in your own pump.  Employee can reach out to Laura White, WH&S at law9042@nyp.org to gain access to the room.

Lower Manhattan Hospital

A Lactation Room is available on the 6th Floor, Multipurpose Room Room contains private bays, seating, and hospital grade pumps. Please note this is a shared space with patients from MCH.  Employee can receive the code to the room from Nursing in MCH, 6th floor.

Westchester Campus

A Lactation Room is available on 6 A South, Room 428 A.  Employees can contact Security at x2424 to make arrangements to pick up key to the room.

38th Street

A Lactation Room is available on the 3rd Floor, adjacent to the ladies restroom. Room contains seating, a sink, and outlets to plug in your pump.  Employees can obtain a key from the HR Support Services office on the 10th Floor.

Columbia ACN Network and 7th Avenue Offices

Private lactation spaces available upon request.  Employees can contact their Managers to access these spaces.
