Bright Horizons manages child care centers for many of the world's leading corporations, hospitals, universities and government agencies. All Bright Horizons child care centers are designed to meet the standards of excellence set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Bright Horizons is proud to help children worldwide develop the skills they need to prepare for academic excellence and success in life, partnering with employers to support their employees as they strive to balance the demands of work and family.

Weill Cornell Children's Center Emergency Childcare Back-Up Program

The Emergency Childcare Backup Program was initiated in November 2011 as a joint commitment from Human Resources and the Office of Faculty Diversity (renamed Office of Diversity and Inclusion). If you need backup childcare, it is available to you - often within a few hours. 
Two options are available: 

  1. Take your child to any convenient Bright Horizons Childcare Facility. The daily co-pay is $15 per child, or $25 per family.
  2. In-home childcare from a Bright Horizons caregiver is available for $6 per hour.

Backup childcare is available for up to 10 days per employee per calendar year. Employees must register in advance with Bright Horizons to use this service. Registration is available by phone or online, 24/7. If registering online, please log in with the username and password listed below:
