Office of Student Diversity

“We need people from all over the world, with different perspectives, different abilities, and different approaches, to help us discover new solutions.” – Dean Augustine M.K. Choi, M.D.

Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School are proud of an outstanding track record in the preparation, recruitment and graduation of students from diverse backgrounds. Our groundbreaking pipeline programs are among the leading programs in the country, with the Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year! Furthermore, our Office of Student Diversity, led by Assistant Deans Joy D. Howell, M.D., FAAP, FCCM (Medical School) and Yazmin Carrasco, PhD (Graduate School), provides a space in Olin Hall for all students to seek support, if needed.

There are many special programs including one-day conferences, lectures and mentorship programs that contribute to the diversity efforts of the institution. The speakers at these events represent a tapestry of people and opportunities while providing role models and motivation to our students. Examples of these leaders in science, technology and medicine may be found on the events page.
