Weill Cornell Medicine faculty, staff, and students are invited to join us for a presentation by the Sex Crimes Unit at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office on how to identify and report sexual assault. In this session, leadership from the District Attorney’s Office will discuss: 

§  What is sexual violence 

§  The definition of consent 

§  The sexual assault reporting process 

§  The role that prosecutors play in sexual assault investigations and prosecutions 

§  How assault bystanders can help  

§  Free services offered by the Witness Aid Services Unit 

 

Please note that this session will not address reporting requirements and processes in clinical settings.
