SEIC and Business Resources Groups Information Sessions

Promoting a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging for staff at Weill Cornell Medicine is a collaborative effort that calls for participation from all members of our community. To that end, I’m pleased to announce that we are forming a Staff Equity and Inclusion Council (SEIC). The SEIC, under the direction of the Office of Institutional Equity, will leverage partnerships with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, the Medical College, Graduate School, and other members of the WCM community to promote a robust staff equity, inclusion, and belonging agenda within all departments. The group will be comprised of approximately 20 non-academic staff who have worked at WCM for at least one year.

The SEIC will also launch three Business Resource Groups, which will develop solutions to improve employee engagement, encourage performance excellence, and create opportunities to collaborate with community programs in New York City. Each Business Resource Group will be comprised of approximately 10-15 faculty and staff members who have worked at WCM for at least six months.

The SEIC and Business Resources Groups are your opportunity to directly influence equity and inclusion programming at WCM, build our community, and collaborate with colleagues across departments. If you would like to learn more about these groups and how to apply to become a member, please join us for a virtual information session next month. (Note that staff interested in applying for the SEIC must attend an information session.)
