The COVID-19 vaccine landscape is changing rapidly, many doctors may not have had time to review the newest data, and many patients are hesitant to vaccinate. This hesitancy crosses all demographic groups and even includes many health care workers; for many, especially communities of color, there may be important issues of trust and the history of racism and mistreatment in the health care and medical research arenas influencing people's perspectives. Of course, all physicians, no matter what our fields, have the responsibility to counsel our patients about the COVID-19 vaccines in order to help end the pandemic.
This session will cover the latest vaccine information, and how to talk to patients and community members about covid vaccination and empower their decision making. The session is open to ALL students, residents, fellows and faculty ( irrespective of previous participation in Mentorship Cascade program).
